How to follow Bill Ackman's Pershing Square in your own brokerage account, and why nobody can tell you his latest holdings

How to follow Pershing Square in your own brokerage, and why nobody can show Ackman's latest holdings.

I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. "What are Bill Ackman's latest holdings" is one of the most-searched questions about any investor alive, and every answer you'll find is working from the same document, on the same delay. Here's what that document is, what you can actually do with it in your own account, and the two other things people mean when they ask.

One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.

The only public record

Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P., CIK 1336528 on EDGAR, files a Form 13F within 45 days after each quarter ends. It lists the firm's reportable US stock positions as of the quarter's last day, and historically it's a short list: a concentrated book of roughly ten long positions. That filing is the entire public record of what Ackman's firm holds. There is no feed of his trades, and anyone showing you his "latest" positions is showing you the last 13F, weeks or months after the fact. I don't reprint holdings on a page that never changes; the filing is on EDGAR the day it posts, and how to read it line by line is in How to read a 13F filing, line by line: what's in it, what's missing, and how it differs from 13D and 13G.

Tracking versus following

Tracking is reading that filing as a table. Plenty of free sites do it, and nothing happens in your account. Following means the disclosed positions are held in your own brokerage account and updated after each filing. That's what the Ackman Tracker does. You pick the Portfolio, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to that account. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put. Ackman has nothing to do with it and neither does Pershing Square; the Tracker is built by Autopilot Advisers from the public filing, and its fact sheet shows the Portfolio's largest positions with a timestamp and the live record of follower accounts since it launched.

Two honest limits. Your trade lags the firm's by the filing delay, which is disclosed on the fact sheet. And a concentrated book means your account is concentrated too: a handful of positions carrying everything, which is exactly what makes a Pershing Square filing interesting and exactly what makes the drawdown worth reading first.

The other thing people mean: Pershing Square Holdings

Pershing Square Holdings is a closed-end fund Ackman's firm manages, listed on the London Stock Exchange and a member of the FTSE 100. Buying it means buying a foreign-listed fund, which some US brokerages allow and others don't; that's a question for your brokerage, and it isn't something Autopilot does. Following the Tracker is the other route: no fund, no foreign listing, just the disclosed US positions in the account you already have. They're different products and I'd rather you pick knowingly.

What it costs

A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier runs from $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year; the fee that applies to you is in your agreement. Flat dollars are a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance, which I laid out in What a flat investing fee means at your balance: the small-account math, what Premium Tier is for, and how to leave.

Frequently asked questions

What are Bill Ackman's latest holdings?

The only public answer is Pershing Square Capital Management's most recent Form 13F on EDGAR, which lists the firm's US stock positions as of the last quarter's end and is filed up to 45 days after it. Nobody outside the firm knows anything newer. The Ackman Tracker on Autopilot follows that filing after it posts, and its fact sheet shows the Portfolio's largest positions with a timestamp.

Bill Ackman portfolio tracker

Autopilot's Ackman Tracker follows Pershing Square Capital Management's quarterly 13F and holds the disclosed positions in your own connected brokerage account, updating after each filing posts. It is created and managed by Autopilot Advisers, LLC, not by Ackman or Pershing Square, and its live follower record is on its fact sheet.

Can I copy Pershing Square's holdings into my brokerage account?

Yes, from the public 13F. You can place the trades yourself after each filing and redo it every quarter, or connect your brokerage to Autopilot, pick the Ackman Tracker, and allocate money, and the Portfolio updates after each filing while your money stays at your broker. Either way you're working from the same filing with the same delay.

How can I follow Bill Ackman's portfolio in my own brokerage?

Connect the brokerage you already use to Autopilot, choose the Ackman Tracker, and set an allocation. Autopilot Advisers, LLC has limited authority to send orders to that account; when the filing-based Portfolio changes, the orders go to your broker and your broker fills them. Nothing transfers out of your account, and you can stop following in the app at any time.

Pershing Square 13F holdings

They're public on EDGAR under Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P., CIK 1336528, within 45 days after each quarter ends, and historically the list is about ten concentrated long positions. This page doesn't reprint them because they change. The Ackman Tracker turns that filing into positions in your own account.

How to buy Pershing Square Holdings from the US

Pershing Square Holdings is a London-listed closed-end fund in the FTSE 100, so buying it from the US means buying a foreign-listed share, which depends on whether your brokerage offers foreign-listed trading; ask them. It's a different thing from following the firm's disclosed US positions through Autopilot's Ackman Tracker, which involves no fund and no foreign listing.
