Jordan Grayson's All-Star Portfolios on Autopilot: the Biotech All-Star Tracker and Activist All-Stars

Jordan Grayson's Biotech All-Star Tracker and Activist All-Stars on Autopilot, how each is built, and how to follow them.

Chris Josephs7 min read

I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. Jordan Grayson's description mentions more than 20 years running a long/short hedge fund. On Autopilot, there are two All-Star Portfolios, built around other investors Jordan follows.

Here's how each one is built.

One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.

1) Who Jordan is

Jordan Grayson is an independent Pilot who creates and manages both Portfolios.

The description says Jordan started as a research analyst at two large New York hedge funds and launched a fund in 2005. The philosophy targets companies going through change, and companies Jordan believes are mispriced with a catalyst to close the gap.

2) Biotech All-Star Tracker

Built from the 13F filings of two biotech-focused hedge funds, Baker Bros. Advisors and Perceptive Advisors, which the description calls, in Jordan's opinion, the two best in the space. Jordan takes the top 10 positions from each fund to form a 20-name Portfolio and rebalances after each new filing.

A 13F can be filed 45 or more days after the quarter closes. So the filing is old the day it posts, and your account follows it after that. Anyone offering you a fund's trades faster than the filing is not working from public information. Neither fund is involved with the Portfolio. The other healthcare Portfolios are compared in Is there an app that invests in healthcare and biotech stocks for me?.

3) Activist All-Stars

For those unaware, activist investors take a stake in a company and push for change, like a new strategy or a sale. Jordan evaluates current activist campaigns, their thesis, methodology, and track record, and builds a Portfolio of the targets that look most likely to succeed.

How activist campaigns and 13D filings work is in Following activist campaigns.

4) The risk, said plainly

I want to be honest with you. Biotech can be binary. A single trial result can move a stock enormously, in either direction. And activist campaigns can fail, or drag on for years.

Both Portfolios are concentrated. Read the worst stretch in each record before following.

5) How to choose between them

The Biotech All-Star Tracker is mechanical: two funds' top positions, updated after each filing. Activist All-Stars is judgment: Jordan's read on which campaigns will work.

One tracks other people's picks by rule. The other is Jordan's own call. Know which one you're buying.

6) How following works

Pick a Portfolio, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.

A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on for each Pilot you subscribe to. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.

TLDR: Jordan Grayson runs two Portfolios on Autopilot. The Biotech All-Star Tracker holds the top 10 13F positions from each of two biotech hedge funds, after the filing delay. Activist All-Stars holds the activist targets Jordan judges most likely to succeed. Both are concentrated.
