Interactive Brokers is in beta. A Webull integration is coming. Fidelity and E*Trade aren't open to new users yet.\n\nYou keep your account where it is. Autopilot connects to it.\n\nLet me explain each one, because they don't all work the same way.\n\n1) The five supported brokerages\n\nThese five are supported, and the app shows the live list when you connect.\n\nPublic\n\nPublic is our official brokerage partner, and it offers a direct integration with Autopilot.\n\nPublic's Autopilot page spells out what connecting allows. Autopilot can access your account profile information, including your personal data and investing preferences, view your holdings, transactions, and balances, and buy and sell for your account according to the Portfolio you pick.\n\nRobinhood\n\nSupported. Trades need your approval in the Robinhood app before they go through.\n\nSo when a Portfolio changes, you'll approve each order. The longer you wait to approve, the more your results can drift from the Portfolio.\n\neToro and Alpaca\n\nBoth are fully supported.\n\nCharles Schwab\n\nSupported on a limited power of attorney (LPOA), which gives Autopilot Advisers limited authority to place trades in the account. Some accounts need extra paperwork.\n\nSchwab accounts on Autopilot don't trade fractional shares. That means they will differ from the Portfolio because of rounding to whole shares.\n\nSchwab's cash-account rules also apply, like good faith violations if you buy and sell before cash settles.\n\n2) What's in beta, coming, or not available yet\n\n- Interactive Brokers: in beta.\n- Webull: a formal integration is coming soon.\n- Fidelity: not available to new users. If you're already in the Fidelity beta, you approve every trade, and Fidelity orders are market orders only.\n- E*Trade and other brokerages: not available to new users yet.\n\nIf yours isn't listed, email support@joinautopilot.com and we'll add you to the waitlist.\n\n3) Which account types work\n\nYou need an individual or IRA brokerage account at one of the supported brokerages, and at least $500 per Portfolio.\n\nIf you have a joint account, a trust, or a 401(k), feel free to ask support before you sign up.\n\n4) Outside the US\n\nAutopilot is currently for customers in the United States.\n\nTo join the international waitlist, send support your name, email, and preferred brokerage.\n\n5) What stays the same at every broker\n\nYou give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to place trades. It can't move or withdraw your money.\n\nYour broker holds your money and your stocks, sends your statements and tax documents, and charges its own fees. Autopilot Advisers is an SEC-registered investment adviser, not a broker-dealer.\n\nWhen the Portfolio changes, we send the orders and your broker fills them. The money stays in your account.\n\nHow the connection works, and how to think about whether it's safe, is in How Autopilot connects to your brokerage.\n\nTLDR: Autopilot works with Public, Robinhood, eToro, Alpaca, and Charles Schwab. Robinhood trades need your approval in the Robinhood app. Schwab runs on a limited power of attorney and doesn't trade fractional shares. Interactive Brokers is in beta, a Webull integration is coming, and Fidelity and E*Trade aren't open to new users. You need an individual or IRA account and at least $500 per Portfolio, and Autopilot is currently for US customers. Public is our official partner.\n\nFrequently asked questions\n\nWhich brokerages does Autopilot support?\n\nPublic, Robinhood, eToro, Alpaca, and Charles Schwab.
