Autopilot and Tickeron: what each one is, and what to compare

Tickeron and Autopilot compared: AI trading signals for active traders versus following a Portfolio in your own brokerage.

Chris Josephs7 min read

I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. Tickeron and Autopilot both come up when people search for AI and investing. They're built for very different people.

Tickeron is built around trade ideas for active traders. Autopilot is built around following a Portfolio over time. Here's the detail.

One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.

1) What Tickeron is

On its own website, as read on September 23, 2026, Tickeron describes itself as one platform for stock analysis, forecasts and trading signals, powered by AI. It offers what it calls AI robots, which it describes as machine learning systems that generate several trade ideas per day, including virtual agents and agents that connect to brokerages.

It also offers pattern search, trend prediction, a screener, and daily buy and sell signals, and its site describes models working on five-, 15-, and 60-minute time frames. Its risk disclosure says trading is risky and not suitable for every investor.

2) What Autopilot is

Autopilot is an app where you follow a Portfolio in the brokerage account you already have. Autopilot Advisers, LLC is a registered investment adviser. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.

The Portfolios come from many sources: independent Pilots who create and manage their own, AI-model Portfolios run by Pilots, and trackers Autopilot builds on public SEC filings.

3) Where they actually differ

Signals versus Portfolios. Tickeron is largely about ideas and signals for traders. Autopilot isn't a signal service. You follow a Portfolio, and your account holds it. More on that in What Autopilot is not.

Pace. Tickeron's time frames are built for short-term trading. Portfolios on Autopilot change when their Pilot, or their rules, change them.

How AI fits. On Autopilot, the AI-model Portfolios are run by Pilots who use models as part of their stock-selection process. The model is a tool, not the manager. They're listed in Every AI-model Portfolio on Autopilot, and who runs each one.

4) What to compare

How much time you want to spend. Signals need somebody to act on them. A Portfolio doesn't.

Who is regulated, and for what. Check any platform's registration yourself with How to check whether an investing app is registered.

What it costs at your balance. For Autopilot, that math is in What Autopilot's fee actually means at your balance.

5) What it costs

On Tickeron: its pricing is on its site.

On Autopilot: A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on for each Pilot you subscribe to. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.

I'm not going to tell you we're better, because that isn't something I can prove to you.

TLDR: Tickeron offers AI trade ideas, signals, and robots built for active, short-term traders, some of which connect to brokerages. On Autopilot, you follow a Portfolio you choose in the brokerage you already have, with AI used by Pilots as a tool. Pick based on how actively you want to trade.

Frequently asked questions

Autopilot vs Tickeron

Tickeron offers AI trading signals, pattern tools, and robots aimed at active traders on short time frames. On Autopilot, you follow a Portfolio you choose, from a Pilot, an AI-model Portfolio, or a tracker, in the brokerage account you already have.

Tickeron alternatives

If you want to follow a Portfolio instead of acting on trade signals, Autopilot is one option. Compare how active each approach is, who is regulated for what, and the cost at your balance.

Is Autopilot or Tickeron better for following investors in my own brokerage?

I won't claim either is better. Following an investor's Portfolio inside your own brokerage is what Autopilot is built for. Tickeron's site describes trading signals and robots for active traders.
