Every AI-model Portfolio on Autopilot, and who runs each one

Every AI-model Portfolio on Autopilot, and who runs each one.

Chris Josephs7 min read

I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. There are more of these than people realize, from several different Pilots, and they work in genuinely different ways. If you want to compare models, the only honest way is same rules, different model, real accounts, dated records. Here's the map.

One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.

Portfolios organized by model

GPT, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Gemini and Perplexity all have Portfolios here, published by independent Pilots and managed by Autopilot Advisers. Each one has its own page:

the ChatGPT Portfolio, the Claude Portfolios, the Grok Portfolios, the DeepSeek Portfolio, the Gemini Portfolio and the Perplexity Finance Portfolio.

None of the model developers are affiliated with any of these, manage them, or have endorsed them.

The three different approaches

Same model, three philosophies, and this is the distinction that actually matters.

A scoring process. Dr. Lira's AI Finance Labs runs a documented scoring system across a defined universe, published with a white paper, rebalanced on a set schedule. The mechanism is in How the AI-model Portfolios are built.

An autonomous agent. Rallies gives each model a research toolkit and lets it run its own research, write its own thesis and manage its own book, publishing the reasoning behind each decision.

A structured question. Powered by Grok asks the model one specific question on a set cadence, weekly or monthly depending on the Portfolio, and builds from the answer.

There are also model Portfolios combined with a data company's proprietary data, and Portfolios organized around the labs themselves rather than their models.

How to compare them properly

Almost nothing anybody says about an AI's picks is checkable afterward, because there's no record. The comparison only means something when the process is fixed, the accounts are real and the record has a date on it.

Read the drawdowns before the returns. And remember that the model leading one year hasn't been the one leading the next, which is true of human managers too.

What a chat answer doesn't have, and a Portfolio does, is a sell rule, a sizing rule, and somebody accountable for running it.

How following works

You pick the Portfolio, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.

A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on if you follow more than one Portfolio. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an app that follows portfolios run by several AI models at once?

Autopilot has Portfolios built on GPT, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Gemini and Perplexity, from several independent Pilots, all running in the brokerage account you already have.

Which AI models have portfolios on Autopilot?

GPT, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Gemini and Perplexity, published by different Pilots using different methods: a documented scoring process, an autonomous agent with a research toolkit, or a structured recurring question.

Can I compare AI models' stock picks?

Only meaningfully when the process is fixed, the accounts are real and the records are dated. That's why running one documented method across several models is the comparison worth reading.

AI model portfolio comparison

Compare on method first, not on model name. A weekly question, a monthly scoring system and an autonomous agent behave completely differently even when they use the same model.
