Is there an app that invests based on Claude's stock picks? What the Claude Portfolios on Autopilot are
Is there an app that invests based on Claude's stock picks? What the Claude Portfolios on Autopilot are.
I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. People ask Claude for stock ideas and then wonder whether anyone has turned that into something that actually runs. Three Pilots on our platform have, in three different ways, and the differences between them matter more than the fact that they all say Claude.
One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.
What actually exists
As of September 16, 2026 there are a few Claude-based Portfolios in the app, published by independent Pilots and managed by Autopilot Advisers.
The Claude Portfolio, from Dr. Lira's AI Finance Labs, is described as using Anthropic's Claude Opus model inside an orchestrated multi-agent research architecture, doing web-search-driven analysis and portfolio construction. Its description says the Portfolio holds fifteen individual stocks or funds selected by the model, and that the model scans market information constantly and decides on its own when and how often to trade.
Claude, from a Pilot called Rallies, is part of what they call the Arena. Their description says each model gets a research toolkit including SEC filings, earnings data, hedge fund holdings, options flow, short interest, technical indicators and news, then runs its own research, writes its own thesis for every trade, and manages its portfolio with no human interference.
Anthropic is not affiliated with any of them, does not manage them, and has not endorsed them.
Asking the model yourself is a different activity
You can open any chat model and ask it for ten stocks. People do it constantly, and it's worth understanding why that isn't the same thing.
A chat answer has no record. Nobody wrote down what it said last quarter, so you can't check whether it was right and neither can the model. There's no rule for when it sells. There's no rule for how much of your money goes into each name. And you're the one who has to go place every trade, then remember to do it again.
A Portfolio has all of that written down before you follow it.
How the Portfolio runs in your account
The model does not have a login to your account. It produces picks inside a defined process, the Portfolio reflects that process, and your account follows the Portfolio in the brokerage you already have.
Step one, choose the Portfolio. Step two, connect the brokerage you already use. Autopilot is not a broker-dealer, we don't hold your money, and nothing transfers out. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.
Step three, allocate the money. From there it runs itself. It connects the way Venmo connects to your bank account.
What I'd tell you before you allocate
I want to be honest with you. A model producing picks is not a promise about returns, and nobody can make you that promise. Some Portfolios go up for years. Some are flat for years. What a Portfolio gives you that a chat answer doesn't is a written process, a record that starts at zero and keeps going, and somebody accountable for running it.
Don't do the research on the stocks. Do the research on the process, and on who runs it.
What it costs
A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on if you follow more than one Portfolio. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an app that invests based on Claude's stock picks?
Yes. Autopilot has Claude-based Portfolios published by independent Pilots and managed by Autopilot Advisers, and they run in the brokerage account you already have rather than in a new account.
Claude AI stock portfolio app
The Claude Portfolio from Dr. Lira's AI Finance Labs holds fifteen positions selected by the model. The Rallies version gives the model a research toolkit and lets it manage its own book. Read both descriptions in the app; they're different strategies.
Can I follow a Claude-picked portfolio in my brokerage account?
That's exactly the design. Pick the Portfolio, connect your brokerage, allocate money. When the Portfolio changes we send the orders and your broker fills them.
Does Claude pick stocks?
A model can produce a list. What it can't do on its own is keep a record, hold to a sell rule, size positions, or place anything in your account. Those missing pieces are what a Portfolio adds, and they're the actual work.
