Daniel Koss's AI Infrastructure Portfolio: what it holds by design and how to follow it
Daniel Koss's AI Infrastructure Portfolio, the written thesis behind it, and how to follow it in your own brokerage account.
I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. A lot of AI Portfolios describe a theme. Daniel Koss built this one on an argument, and writes the whole argument down.
You can disagree with it. But you can't say you don't know what you're buying. Here it is.
One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.
1) The thesis in one line
The AI Infrastructure Portfolio is created and managed by Daniel Koss, an independent Pilot.
The description says demand for AI inference, the work of running models after they're trained, is heading into a supply shortage that lasts years. The Portfolio aims to own the infrastructure layer where Daniel thinks that shortage turns into value.
2) The four forces named
The description lists four reasons Daniel thinks demand keeps compounding.
- Models moving from text to video to physical-world models, each one hungrier for compute.
- Compute spreading out to billions of edge devices.
- Autonomous agents taking over work that used to need a person in the loop.
- Faster response times making AI usable in more places.
The description says these forces multiply rather than add. That's Daniel's view, and it's the heart of the Portfolio.
3) Why Daniel thinks it shows up in stock prices
The description makes one more claim. When supply can't keep up with demand for a long stretch, the companies along that supply chain tend to see sustained growth and wider margins, and the description calls that combination the most reliable driver of a stock getting re-rated.
I want to be honest with you. That's a Pilot's thesis, not a law of markets. Supply shortages end. Sometimes they end with a lot of new capacity arriving at once, which is exactly when the stocks that rode the shortage get hurt.
4) Where the research comes from
The stated sources are public company filings, earnings calls, industry podcasts, blog posts, research articles, and what the description calls first-principles analysis of how AI compute scales.
That's a research Portfolio, not a rules-based index. The picks depend on Daniel's judgment, which is the thing you're actually evaluating. Other takes on the same build-out, and where they disagree, are in Is there an app that invests in AI data center and infrastructure stocks for me?.
5) The risk, said plainly
One theme, one supply chain, one set of big buyers. If the largest companies slow their spending on AI infrastructure, everything in this chain can move together.
Do not stop at the stocks. Read the Portfolio, and decide whether you buy the argument.
6) How following works
Pick the Portfolio, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.
A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on for each Pilot you subscribe to. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.
TLDR: Daniel Koss's Portfolio is built on a written thesis that AI inference demand is outrunning supply for years, driven by four forces the description names. It aims to own the infrastructure layer. It's concentrated in one supply chain, and the thesis is Daniel's, so read it before you follow it.
