Mike Bower's Portfolios on Autopilot: Quant POV and The Golden Goose
Mike Bower's Golden Goose and Quant POV Portfolios on Autopilot, how each is built, and how to follow them.
I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. Mike Bower runs two Portfolios that couldn't be built more differently. One is a hand-built blend of sectors he believes in. The other only buys a stock when two outside rating systems agree.
Here's each one, and how to think about them.
One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.
1) Who he is
Mike Bower is an independent Pilot. He creates and manages both Portfolios.
His description says he spent about 12 years leading enterprise technology sales teams, that he blends ETF, momentum, and direct-index investing, and that he posts deep-dive analyses on his Substack. He says he puts his own money into each of his Portfolios, and that followers should expect a highly active management style.
2) The Golden Goose Portfolio
His core thesis, simplified, across several sectors he considers high-momentum: the Magnificent 7, nuclear energy leaders as suppliers to AI, rare earth and precious metals miners, Nasdaq and technology leaders, growth outside the US, healthcare and value for diversification, and gold as a hedge against rising inflation.
He says followers should be comfortable with active management, a mid-to-high risk profile and a long horizon. His full thesis is on his Substack.
3) Quant POV: Strong Buys Only
A rules-based Portfolio with a double gate. A stock only gets in if it holds a Strong Buy from Seeking Alpha's Quant Rating and from the consensus of Wall Street analysts at the same time. Seeking Alpha has nothing to do with the Portfolio.
On top of that: profitable companies only, a small and mid-cap focus, revenue growing at least 20 percent year over year, and a blend of technology, healthcare, and energy. It holds five to 20 names, weighted by conviction and rebalanced monthly.
4) What each approach costs you
I want to be honest with you. The Golden Goose depends on his judgment across a lot of moving parts, so you're really following him.
Quant POV depends on two rating systems. For those unaware, ratings can change fast, and when two of them agree on a stock, a lot of other people may have noticed it too. Monthly rebalancing on small and mid-caps also means real turnover.
5) How to choose between them
If you want a person's thesis, that's The Golden Goose. If you want a rule you can check, that's Quant POV.
They can overlap in technology, so look at the holdings side by side before following both.
6) How following works
Pick a Portfolio, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.
A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on for each Pilot you subscribe to. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.
TLDR: Mike Bower runs two Portfolios on Autopilot. The Golden Goose is his actively managed blend of momentum sectors, miners, international growth, and gold. Quant POV buys only small and mid-cap stocks rated Strong Buy by both Seeking Alpha's Quant Rating and Wall Street consensus, rebalanced monthly.
