Powered by Grok on Autopilot: Grok's Weekly 10, Moonshots, Core Holdings, and Income Builder

Powered by Grok's five Portfolios on Autopilot, the question behind each one, and how to follow them in your own brokerage.

Chris Josephs8 min read

I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. Powered by Grok is an independent creator, not xAI. Its descriptions say that plainly, and I'll say it too, because the name makes people assume otherwise.

What it runs is five Portfolios built by asking Grok different questions. The questions are the whole story.

One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.

1) Who runs these

Powered by Grok is an independent Pilot. It creates and manages all five Portfolios, and its descriptions state that it isn't affiliated with xAI or the official Grok team. Neither is Autopilot.

The Pilot uses Grok as part of its stock selection. The Pilot decides what to ask, how often, and what to do with the answer.

2) Grok's Weekly 10

Every week, per the description, the Pilot asks Grok one simple question: which 10 stocks it thinks will grow the most that week. The Portfolio rebalances every Monday.

That's a short-term momentum approach, and it turns over constantly.

3) Grok's Moonshots

A weekly high-risk question aimed at speculative companies in areas like AI, space, robotics, quantum computing, and autonomous systems. Six to eight concentrated positions.

Its own description says many picks may fail or fall sharply, and that it's built for people who understand significant losses are possible. That's the Pilot talking. Believe it.

4) Grok's Core Holdings and the mega portfolio

These are the slow ones. Core Holdings asks a structured question monthly and holds 15 high-quality companies with strong moats and durable growth, with low turnover. The mega portfolio is a long-term, diversified large-cap Portfolio built for steady compounding.

Same model, completely different behavior. It's a clear example of why the question matters more than the model.

5) Grok's Income Builder

A monthly question aimed at high-yield payers. Twenty stocks, split between monthly and quarterly payers, across real estate trusts, business development companies, telecom, healthcare, and consumer staples.

Its description says it's built for income seekers comfortable with higher risk. For those unaware, high yields usually mean the market sees risk, and those payouts can get cut. The wider income picture is in Is there an app that builds a dividend income Portfolio in my own brokerage?.

6) How to choose

I want to be honest with you. The weekly ones trade a lot, which costs money and creates taxable events in a regular account. The monthly ones barely trade. Pick the rhythm first, then the Portfolio.

How these compare with the other Grok-based Portfolios on the platform is in Is there an app that invests based on Grok's stock picks?.

7) How following works

Pick one, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.

A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on for each Pilot you subscribe to. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.

TLDR: Powered by Grok is an independent creator, not xAI, running five Portfolios built from different questions to Grok: a weekly 10, speculative moonshots, quality core holdings, a diversified large-cap one, and a high-yield income one. The question decides the behavior, so pick by rhythm and risk.

Speculative, high-yield and high-turnover strategies carry heightened risk of loss and may generate additional trading and tax consequences. Listing is not an endorsement of a Pilot or strategy.
