Is there an app that invests in quantum computing stocks for me?
Is there an app that invests in quantum computing stocks for me?.
I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. Quantum is the theme where nobody knows who wins, including the people running the companies. The Portfolio here is built around admitting that, which I respect.
One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.
What the theme is
Quantum computing is early. Several competing physical approaches exist, from superconducting qubits to trapped ions to neutral atoms, and none has clearly won. Government funding is substantial and commercial adoption has started, but the gap between a working demonstration and a useful commercial machine is still wide.
The pure-play companies are small, mostly unprofitable, and trade on news.
The Portfolios on Autopilot, and what each says it does
Quantum Supremacy, from Lance Teren, is described as holding every major approach, from superconducting to neutral atoms, on the stated view that no company or modality has won and it may never come down to one. The description says the Portfolio is anchored by large-cap companies that do not depend on quantum succeeding, which is the structural decision that makes it different from a basket of pure plays.
Its own description calls the field early innings with the market still forming, says the Portfolio is extremely high risk, and tells you to expect to hold through massive volatility. That's the Pilot's language and it's the most useful sentence on the page.
Why a Portfolio rather than one stock
Buying one company in a theme is a bet on that company. Themes usually play out across a supply chain, and the winner at the start often isn't the winner at the end. A Portfolio spreads the bet across the chain and keeps it current as the Pilot's view changes.
That doesn't make it safer in the sense people mean. Everything in one theme moves together, so a theme Portfolio is closer to one position than to a diversified portfolio, and should be sized that way.
The risk, said plainly
Take the description at its word. A portfolio of early-stage technology companies in a field with no proven commercial model is speculation, and the anchoring in larger companies reduces but does not remove that.
The pure plays move enormously on announcements that turn out to mean little. If that behavior would make you sell, this isn't for you.
And the timeline for commercial quantum computing is genuinely unknown. Unknown is different from long; it means the thesis may not resolve in your holding period at all.
How following works
You pick the Portfolio, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.
A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on if you follow more than one Portfolio. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an app that invests in quantum computing stocks for me?
Autopilot has a quantum Portfolio published by an independent Pilot, held in the brokerage account you already have. It spans the competing approaches rather than betting on one.
quantum computing portfolio app
Quantum Supremacy holds every major modality on the view that no approach has won, anchored by larger companies that don't depend on quantum succeeding. Its own description calls it extremely high risk.
How do I invest in quantum computing?
Through public equities, which means a mix of small pure-play companies and large companies with quantum programs. The pure plays are speculative and move on announcements.

I don't publish holdings here because they change and this page doesn't. The Portfolio's description and positions are in the app, with a date on them.
