Tristan Thompson's Portfolio on Autopilot: what Tristan's Flagship holds by design and how to follow it

Tristan's Flagship on Autopilot, a concentrated Portfolio in the physical infrastructure behind AI, and how to follow it.

I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. Tristan Thompson publishes one Portfolio on Autopilot, and the description lays out a clear thesis.

It's about what AI actually runs on. Here's what the Portfolio says it does.

One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.

1) What it is

Tristan's Flagship is created and managed by Tristan Thompson, an independent Pilot.

The description calls it a concentrated, high-conviction Portfolio in the companies building and powering the next generation of AI.

2) The thesis

The core argument, per the description, is that AI's biggest opportunity isn't only in software or in individual chipmakers. It's in the physical infrastructure needed to power, connect and scale the whole AI economy.

That's a picks-and-shovels view. It means betting on the build-out itself rather than on who builds the best model.

3) What it spans

The description names a wide set of areas: semiconductors, advanced memory, data-center infrastructure, high-speed networking, energy generation, grid equipment, space connectivity, and autonomous defense systems.

That breadth is interesting, because it's wider than most AI Portfolios. It still all rides on one theme, though. If AI infrastructure spending slows, these areas tend to move together.

4) What to check before you follow

I want to be honest with you. Concentrated and high-conviction mean big swings in both directions. That's the design, not a flaw.

Look at the worst stretch in the record. Check how often it changes. And if you already follow another AI infrastructure Portfolio, check the overlap, because several of them hold similar companies. Those are compared in Is there an app that invests in AI data center and infrastructure stocks for me?.

5) How following works

Pick the Portfolio, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.

A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on for each Pilot you subscribe to. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.

TLDR: Tristan's Flagship is a concentrated bet on the physical infrastructure behind AI: chips, memory, data centers, networking, energy, grid equipment, space connectivity, and defense systems. Wide in scope, one theme underneath, so size it accordingly.
