Patrick Figueroa's Set It and Forget It Growth Fund on Autopilot

Patrick Figueroa's Set It and Forget It Growth Fund on Autopilot, what it holds by design, and what set it and forget it means.

Chris Josephs7 min read

I'm Chris, one of the co-founders of Autopilot. The name tells you who Patrick Figueroa built this for: people who don't want to think about their Portfolio every day.

That's a real audience, and a big one. Here's what the Portfolio actually holds by design, and what set it and forget it does and doesn't mean.

One thing first, because we're an SEC-registered investment adviser and I have to say it. Autopilot is the app. The actual investment advice comes from Autopilot Advisers, LLC. If you want the full legal version of anything in here, it's on our disclaimer page.

1) What it is

The Set It and Forget It Growth Fund is created and managed by Patrick Figueroa, an independent Pilot.

The description says it's a simple growth approach for the average investor who wants exposure to the industries driving the AI boom, and who's betting on long-term appreciation.

2) What it spans

The description names a mix of areas, each with a role.

  • Semiconductors and AI, described as the backbone of future technology.
  • Clean energy, electrification, and uranium, for where energy is heading.
  • Cybersecurity and defense, which the description sees as steadier demand.
  • Broad industrials and large consumer companies, for durable cash flow.

It calls the result a diversified mix focused on quality, fundamentals and compounding.

3) What set it and forget it really means

For those unaware, it doesn't mean the Portfolio never changes. It means you don't have to do anything when it does. When Patrick changes the Portfolio, Autopilot Advisers sends the orders to your broker, and you don't have to do anything.

What it definitely doesn't mean is that the value only goes up. I want to be honest with you. A growth Portfolio centered on AI will have bad stretches, and the whole point of set it and forget it is that you hold through them instead of reacting. If you'd panic-sell in a drawdown, the name won't save you.

4) What to check before you follow

Look at the worst stretch in the record. Check how much it overlaps with anything you already own, especially if you hold other AI Portfolios. And ask whether the diversification across energy, defense and industrials is enough for you, or whether you want a broader core underneath it.

Do not stop at the stocks. Read the Portfolio.

5) How following works

Pick the Portfolio, connect the brokerage you already use, and allocate money. You give Autopilot Advisers limited authority to send orders to the account you already have. When the Portfolio changes, we send them and your broker fills them. The money stays put.

A flat cash subscription, not a percentage of your balance. Per our Form CRS dated February 2026, Basic Tier has no Base Advisory and Licensing Fee, and Premium Tier is $29.99 to $199.99 a quarter or $99.99 to $699.99 a year. Pilot subscriptions are separate and add on for each Pilot you subscribe to. Because it's a flat dollar amount, it's a bigger share of a small account than a big one, so do the math at your balance.

TLDR: Patrick Figueroa's Portfolio is a growth mix built around AI and its enablers, with energy, defense, industrials, and consumer companies alongside. Set it and forget it means you don't have to act when it changes, not that it can't fall.
